Robert has been producing and active in film and television for over 25 years. He has financed and produced numerous productions and films. Robert co-founded NewU Recovery in Park City Utah.
Veteran of the armed forces, avid pilot, rock climber, and mountaineer. Robert spent two years filming the documentary titled "Sherpa", climbing in the mountain region of Everest and the surrounding peaks of Island Peak, Phortse, and Kala Phatar. Climbing has become a passion for Robert and something he will continue to pursue.
Robert recovered from addiction over 8 years ago, an is active in the recovery community. Robert has an amazing story of spiritual awakening. He co-authored “Guide To Spiritual Awakening” (Wiley Publishing) with Father Leo Booth and completed his second book titled “How Free Do You Want To Be?” (Balboa Press). Robert studied at Dixie State College in St George Utah and pursuing a Masters of Psychology in Addiction at Purdue University.
Iuri has been in private practice for over a decade now. Since the on set of his career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Luri has had the privilege of working on a one on one basis withindividuals, families and groups.

KT Hart is an Animal assisted educator, NLP Practitioner, Actress, Animal Communicator, and Trainer. She is the former owner of Hollywood Animal Stars, an animal company providing animals for film & television. She has lived with, worked with and trained an array of animals, ranging from tigers, wolves, bears, show horses, dogs, birds, to name a few. KT comes with many years' experience on camera and of course, behind the scenes with the performing animals.
KT was also a well known Professional Wrestler and has appeared on countless television programs Worldwide. She also was frequently seen on numerous talk shows. In fact, she still can be heard on radio shows answering questions from her still faithful fans.
Having witnessed her own father pass away in her arms from Alcoholism, KT has a deep desire to help people who suffer from addiction and desire to be sober. She is currently studying to become a licensed substance abuse counselor.
Alberto has worked in healthcare for over 10 years. He began as a CNA and then worked as a registered nurse until completing his Master’s Degree in Nursing. Alberto has been been working as a Nurse Practitioner since April of 2013. In addition to his work as a Nurse Practitioner, he also teaches online classes for the Dixie State University Nursing Program.
His genuine love for people and desire to continue to learn and improve has allowed him to experience a great deal of success as a provider, to establish a good rapport with patients and to develop lasting relationships with medical professionals in the Southern Utah area. Alberto is also fluent in 3 languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish) which allows him to better serve a more diverse population. He is currently pursuing further certification in Psychiatry and Mental Health in order to provide his patient’s with the most up-to-date services and treatments in the field.

Dawn McComb, SUDC (Substance Use Disorder Counselor). With a degree in Addictive Disorders from Santa Barbara City College Dawn wanted to further her education with a degree in Marriage and Family from Brigham Young University Idaho and is currently working on her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with the University of Utah.
Having worked with youth in the juvenile detention system in California she is now pleased to be working with The Retreat at Zion as an Advanced Substance Use Disorders Counselor. Her love for the outdoors and the Zion area in particular make her a great fit for the staff at The Retreat.
Clint creates a world of empowered men and women, by fulfilling my God given entitlement and helping others to achieve theirs. Clint completed the course work for the Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counseling (ASUDC) in August of 2016 and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology December of 2018.
Earlier in 2016, Clint became a certified Firewalk instructor and have had the opportunity to help others that were willing to face some of their fears and overcome negative self-talk.Through his own experiences, Clint believes that the inner wounds or trauma’s we carry must be dealt with in order to be relieved of the addiction problem. Clint has recovered from addiction, and is active in the local recovery community.
Casey Bangerter has been with the Retreat at Zion in various roles for over three years. She has a background in medical detox and addiction recovery. Casey's diverse talents make her an invaluable asset to the Retreat. Among the many hats she wears, Casey is integral to meal planning, assists in supervision of client therapies, insurance billing and tracking. She is also our director of art and music education.
